Faith, found her dream job right after graduation and everything was going well. She was enjoying her life and her career. Sky was her limit.
After a couple of year unfortunately, she lost her job because of a major layoff the employer did. She was really down and for months she could not find a new job. She was hitting a hard period on her life. After a while she finally opened up to her father about what was going on and her father listen to her carefully and told her to go with him to the kitchen. She was confused but followed him to the kitchen...
The father started boiling water on 3 different pots and Faith was even more confused. After the water was boiled he placed a potato on the first pot, an egg on the second and coffee beans on the third. After a while he said :
“The potato was hard, but the boiled water turned it soft. The egg was soft but the boiled water turned it hard. The coffee beans are slightly different, as they give us coffee on boiled waters. Every person goes through challenges everyday. It is up to you if you want the situation to make softer, stronger or even change you for something much better. It's about what you are made of, not the circumstances”.
Moral of the story:
In life, things happen around us, and to us. The only thing that matters is YOUR CHOICE of how to react to it, and what you are made of. Keep your head high, learn from your experiences and embrace life.
